Heeling, the neglected trick!
Heeling is the glue that pulls your routines together!
But, so often, Freestylers get so wrapped up in Tricks and Transitions that they forget how important heeling is! Unlike traditional Obedience, a Freestyle dog does not have to do long bouts of heeling but short, snappy bursts of really pretty heeling can make or break a routine!
“But, heeling is boring!”
Only if you make it boring. Turn your heeling practices into a fun game for you & your dog!
“I do Freestyle — I don’t need heeling”
So your whole routine is going to be done in 1 spot? How exciting!
“My dog already knows how to heel”
Heeling , unlike other tricks, can easily be lost if it isn’t maintained.
This class is a great way to strengthen the bond between the Handler & the dog. Subjects touched on will be:
- Attitude and Drive
- Attention
- Various Heeling Positions
- Precision movements
So, who is this class aimed at?
- young dogs or dogs that are new to you
- Freestyle dogs that have some experience & a repertoire of tricks already
- in other words — any dog of any age or experience that you want to improve your relationship with!
